Unfortunately, that building with the yellow GP board is a storage building.

I wouldn’t be surprised as his presence on the Westside is huge. But than again he tried to stop the Ashton Woods development on Johnson and failed. They got the green light this week.

Does anyone know what's being built here? Same lot that used to have a Maxi Foods.

I believe a Chevron is going in from my previous post.

Moores Mill Village apartment homes has been upgrading their property the last month or so (paint, new sod). Not sure if they're making any improvements inside.

Also, looks like they are beginning construction on the retail section of Novel Westside so that is exciting:

The facade on that last one is really interesting. I like it, not sure I love it, but kudos to them for not being boring. Anyone know if that's new build or a retrofit?

It's a new build. It is way in the back of the site too so it isn't overbearing when looking from Chattahoochee Ave.

The last building is the parking deck by the way. Hopefully someday soon we'll get to enjoy this development. It looks great.

Wow, it might just be the angle of the photo, but I had no idea that was a parking deck. Much better than the half attempt at screening we sometimes see. But disappointing it appears to be a stand-alone parking deck.

The parcel this sits in the back of is enormous and as far as I've seen this will be the only parking for the entire development. Chattahoochee Ave has basically no sidewalks or bike lines (it's mainly heavy trucking traffic) so driving and one bus line are the only options.

Excited to be getting a Fox Brothers BBQ over there!

Is this still on track? I believe the current situation has hit them hard.

I thought the residential being added would also have a parking deck?

Novel Westside residential progress along Coronet:

Unfortunately, they haven't made any progress on the retail portion. Not sure why but perhaps it has something to do with the pandemic. Might be difficult to lease those spaces in the future economic climate.

I am so confused by this. The area to the north and east of this is nothing but million plus dollar homes (plus 'regular' people in the other directions). It's not like these people are struggling and can't shop at a place that's next door to them.

You could be correct. I'm just couch-side speculating. It could simply just be waiting until the next phase.

I'd guess that their project timeline might put residential prior to retail. It's possible they need the retail area for additional staging.

Bolton Town Center’ mixed-use project could be coming to Upper Westside

Quote:
The project, dubbed “Bolton Town Center" to recognize the neighborhood where it is located, is one piece of an anticipated $600 million investment by Cannon Equities and AB Capital LLC and their stakeholders in three immense mixed-use developments off Chattahoochee Avenue and Marietta Boulevard. There is the $200 million project known as “The Quarter” along Bolton Drive already underway by Cannon Equities and its developers.

The eight acres for the Bolton Town Center are located at 1593 and 1595 Chattahoochee Ave.
And another update.

The nearly 5-acre Marietta Boulevard mixed-use project announced last year by Cannon Equities and AB Capital could break ground early next year.

Could Marietta Blvd be catching fire the next few years? Westside Park to the South, Westside Provisions to the East.
