When will Midtown go full fill out?

When do you think midtown will completely fill out and what extra amenities will there be besides more restaurants. Such as luxury retailers or an Apple Store and where would they be localized upon?

"Completely filled out" is an objective statement about an extremely subjective idea. So "completely filled out" will be never.

Even when every parking lot is developed, there will be about a million square feet of Class C office space & a dozen or so stick-built apartment/condo buildings that would need tear-down or major renovation. Over time, self-driving vehicles becoming viable by 2040-50 would make dozens of parking decks in the neighborhood redundant maybe? As mentioned by others before, residential towers with parking podiums would be the white elephant in this scenario.

I could see an Apple Store going to nearby Atlantic Station or around Ponce City Market. I think the only Apple Store ITP is at Lenox? Around 10-15 years ago, there was a plan for "midtown mile" to have a bunch of retail like the Magnificient Mile in Chicago but that was abandoned. I could see significant retail coming to Midtown maybe 10 years down the line.

IF traditional retail is still a thing 10 years from now... might just be a bunch of distributed Amazon lockers or delivery drone landing sites. We'll see!

All vacant land and 1 story class C (except Dewberry land) will be completed on June 22 2042. The Dewberry land will be sold off by his descendants and developed, to be completed October 10, 2064.

From my sources, can confirm. These dates are correct.

We’ll all be dead before complete buildout. It’ll never happen. Look Manhattan, which continues to evolve.

Lot to lot buildout may be a better question.
