A unique take on the traditional time-lapse with Boston.

I like this one very much. I think the guy made a very good editing work, begins with sunrise, goes through the day, sunset and night, with the pace of the images really going along with the song (which is also pretty good BTW) One of the best timelapse videos I've seen. Unlike most other timelapse videos, this one feels like he is actually telling a story.

Commentary of the author, Will Boisture:

Quote:
New York City has been my home for seven years and as a filmmaker and photographer I can’t help but be in awe of the vibrancy and beauty of this place . I wanted to create a work that captures and conveys my love for it. This video is something that I have been working to create for two and a half years. As a freelancer, I shot this film in the little windows of time between work, looking for my next job, and getting engaged and married. I’ve shown some of these shots to friends along the way, but this single, unified piece has always been the focus of my filming and I’m very happy to present it now.

Music: "Sweet Disposition" by The Temper Trap

As a bonus this other. Although not a timelapse, it is a really wonderful, moving video, that is worthed to be seen. It also goes very well with the song, specially near the end when both built up...

commentary of the author, Andy Clancy:

Quote:
As a filmmaker living in New York for the first time, I'd grab my Canon 7D and shoot footage of what was going on around me, to try and take in all that was happening. To try and capture the sense of community I felt in a place so large and diverse.

The HDSLR was a great tool for this. It allowed me get in among people and crowds but at the same time not draw attention to myself.

It seemed like a never ending project and you could stay filming life in New York for a long time. But eventually I put my camera down and started to edit. Here's the end result, it's a bit rough and tumble but that's life in the Big Apple I guess.

Turn up the volume or put your in earphones for the beautiful song 'We Don't Eat' by Irishman James Vincent McMorrow.

Here's one of Chicago that focuses on the derecho that hit in June. I've never seen a storm like this in my life.

I know it's from Facebook, but that's where the artist posted it. If someone else can figure out how to post the video directly please, by all means, do!

Never realized this video was about 3 years old. Also didn't realize how much the city changed in that time. Construction on the QLine hadn't even started yet!
