^ every time I walk by this building people are staring up at it and taking pictures. This even includes the hotel residents coming out of the lobby of the ultra ritzy Four Seasons directly across the street. Everyone within its vicinity seems to be in shock/awe/incredulous of it being there.

I have encountered no other building in Manhattan, even the Empire State, that seems to have this effect

I notice that, but I see more of it at 10 Hudson Yards. People are in awe of that. Probably has more to do with location.


The more I see the reveal of the top (still awaiting the mechanical floors), the more I like it the way it is.
