The block sizes are 1 meter, not six feet.

Its open ended, but its not even really a 'game' per se in my opinion. Its a game in the same way playing with a big tub of Legos is 'a game'.

Yes, that is correct. However, for the purposes of making things to scale, I simply took the total length in distance (in feet) and divided by number of blocks I had to work with. Comes out to just over 6 feet a block.

I realize the game is set up to have the blocks measure as a meter, but that wouldn't work for the area I am trying to recreate.

I really think you should get the PC version. Then you have nearly infinite space, you can access mods and texture packs, etc. Also using a tool like MCEdit, the 'chunks' where you constructed your city can be transferred to a different world map and uploaded on a creation sharing site and/or merged into a multiplayer server. A Skyscraperpage minecraft server would be the best thing ever, of course I nor anybody else is going to take the initiative to buy hosting and set one up.

I dunno, if you aren't playing classic or creative then there are the monsters that come out at night, you have to source the materials to build things, etc.

City Hall is under way. Color not completely accurate, but wanted to get the bones up and going.
