Alberta Provincial Railroad Network: Taking The A-Train

So the bullet train between Edmonton and Calgary International Airport is dead and something larger and yet more sensible is in the planning stage:

Alberta government announces 'master plan' for railway development

Quote:
The Alberta government has laid out the path ahead for an ambitious passenger railway system it says "has incredible potential" for the province.

On Monday, Premier Danielle Smith and Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen unveiled the UCP government's passenger rail master plan, a series of steps it will take to "build the optimal passenger rail system for the province."

I am in shock! Never in a million years did I think that this would be coming! Fantastic.

Are many of the railway right of ways in the Province still existing?

I asked this before concerning HSR but now it applies to commuter rail. Where in Calgary and Edmonton would central rail stations go?

In Edmonton, it would be relatively easy. You can make it difficult and choose any other location than Blatchford Park or make it easy and go with Blatchford Park.
