Sounds exactly like what's happening with both Southtown and SoFlo in San Antonio.

Aaaaargh. There is no light rail system opening in 2008. Why is that so hard for people to grasp....

Because folks like Lyndon Henry have told them it's light rail, and because the local TV stations aren't smart enough to distinguish between light and commuter rail. (Neither local paper has fallen for the B.S. labelling of this thing as "light" rail, to their credit, but neither one has bothered to analyze the line from a future rider's perspective either).
