It's going to be a monumental tower.
The second setback mirrors the height of the West Tower. It's pretty much the only feature that makes them "twins".

Love this design... It's beautiful, and really simple. It seems relevant to the turn recent Asian* skyscraper design has taken.

Great design on this tower, but I have to pose a really dumb question: Is this going to have actual tenants, or is it going to be empty like 90% of other towers that have gone up in recent years in China?

Will they be empty like the Empire State building was for the first two decades ?

Well I wouldn't be surprised. According to DER SPIEGEL some 70 million housing units in China are empty. And just yesterday the IMF warned China of a massive property bubble, which is going to burst eventually. It's only a matter of time...

Interesting how China appears to be using a similar construction method on all of their new supertalls. Massive steel beams with concrete poured inside, yes?

good to see this one going up. its going to be a breath taking tower. this will be one of china's best towers to date. it reminds me of the Aura tower going up in toronto. only three times the size lol
