That rules you out lol. I was an uber-mod on a rather large forum once upon a time. #1 rule for a finding a new mod was them not wanting to be one.

Grow up.
Guess I hit a nerve with the "hard-on" comment but it seems to be appropriate given the extent of your obsession. Actually, nothing wrong with me at all bro. I just like intelligent people who give balanced commentary, don't insult other people, don't bully people and don't have a personal agenda. By the way that doesn't describe you. Anyhoo, I think Cyro's a good idea!

Winnipeg Architect, Simplicity, or BigUC would all be fine choices in my humble opinion.

Those are three terrific choices but WA is probably too busy making money.

I think one of the requirements should be the ability to spell. That rules out a couple of suggestions.

Isn't the point of moderation to be impartial? If a user posts something which, to a guest, seems inappropriate, shouldn't some sort of action be taken? This action can be as simple as asking another moderator for their opinion, in which one would be informed that that's acceptable because that's just who the user is. But really, if a user is troublesome and makes posts which are deemed inappropriate by essentially a guest, it should be looked in to.

I don't want to be one...that was the (humorous, I thought) point.

As a side note though, I actually am awesome.

I would not be comfortable with Simplicity. He is too controversial.

Yipee! Democracy!

I understand that, as a lowly lurker who doesn't even know the Latin for Black Spruce, (What can I say, it was almost time for supper) my opinion is of little worth, but I'd say Stormer then Cyro.
I would have named Riverman third, but he said "smart people", rather than "cruel people ".

I would be fine with Simplicity as a mod if he can learn to self moderate, his responses can sometimes get a little too personal...

Otherwise I'd say esquire

When I saw this thread trueviking is who came to mind. He might not post as much as some others but he always keeps it professional.

I also agree that simplicity is a great contributor the forum most of the time however the history of running into trouble with the rules sadly rules them out of consideration this time around.
