God no. Let's stop despoiling every large wall with a mural. This isn't Thompson with their wolf murals. And for heaven's sake not with a milk carton design.

I'd love every god awful concrete wall to have a mural. And I'm not talking about the lame portrait ones on Corydon, Ellice, Sargeant, etc. I mean real street art, big patterns, whatever. Some of the coolest cities in the world (and the US) have amazing street art everywhere, especially in older areas. Austin, San Francisco, Portland all come to mind and you get such good vibes walking around those places and seeing art everywhere. I'm very upset to see the big mural (the man pressed up on glass) was taken down from the side of the building with Tiny Feast and Shwarma Khan at McDermot & Main

^ Architecture is a form of art too. Let's respect what the architect designed.

After all, you wouldn't walk into the WAG and start randomly adding carousels and steam locomotives in their paintings thinking that you could improve on the artist's work, would you?

I would like to see architecturally pleasing parking garages. The one at Centrepoint is...better than others downtown...but far from appealing.

The new parking garage at CentrePoint appears to have closely mirrored the style of the much older Smith St Parkade two blocks east. That is not an ideal situation.

Not every mural has to be one of these crap lowbrow murals summarizing the neighbourhood's history like the ones on Corydon...

Definitely an improvement. 95% of the murals painted in Winnipeg over the last 20 years look like they belong in Belfast circa 1986.

^^ Such a pleasant change to the skyline rather than what we've become accustomed to here in the past. Balconies are appearing as well. Progressing nicely.

Glasshouse looks better than expected... I kind of wish they'd stop now and just forget about the balconies, but hopefully that won't have too much of an effect on its appearance.

One of my favorite towers in this city. So un-Winnipeg. And I also like the parkade especially at night.

Maybe the balconies will add some sort of horizontal aspect to the tower. Looks like they exten continously along both sides. No separate little balconies.

A tower like this would be welcomed at Main & McDermot.

I really like Winnipeg's above-ground parking garages. The Bay Parkade, the one on McDermot, the curvy one on Garry St., the new one next to the Ryan block, this new one at CentrePoint. We don't really have those in Toronto.

For a parkade the Centrepoint one is fine... the colours and LEDs are cool, I just REALLY wish they would continue those yellow/white boards all the way around the first level. That would make me give it a 9/10 as far as sole purpose parkades go. It would also add some security.

not saying it's lipstick on a pig, but I really like the LED lights. every day driving home they are doing something different. sometimes flashing, sometime solid, sometime shooting like lasers. small things amuse small minds!
