Discovering São Paulo |BRAZIL| More than the largest city in the southern hemispher

When you read São Paulo, what you think? The other side of the Brazilian state has the largest metropolis in the southern hemisphere, but also one of the most beautiful coasts of Brazil.

Ilhabela is the largest island in Brazil, one of the places where you can admire the historic architecture, living native cultures, legends, beautiful beaches and a variety of amazing scenery.

The São Sebastião channel dividing the island from the mainland and it is there where the belong "urban" paradise, quiet villages, hotels, historic downtown. On the other side is the wild, protected parks and deserted beaches, most of the island inhabited only by native peoples without electricity, or roads.

are most of these beaches near the Rio de Janeiro state border? I remember when flying, south of Santos there was a very long and mostly unpopulated beach.

Not the longest beach in Brazil however. The beaches in Rio Grande do Sul state are much longer (Cassino is 250km and from Torres to Tramandaí is some 75 km, and south of Tramandaí to the mouth of Lagoa dos Patos is some 200km.)

No, the only beaches near the border with the state of Rio de Janeiro are the Ubatuba .. anyway are much nearer the city of São Paulo to the city of Rio de Janeiro, the coast of RJ is a 'continuation' of the São Paulo coast

The south coast beaches are larger in size, some 75km in length .. but I prefer the northern beaches, cities with almost 100 beaches, gives to know several in a day, it is much more impressive!

The beaches of Rio Grande do Sul are the ugliest of Brazil, the sand is so hard and it looks black concrete, the sea is dark and cold, has no attraction or view, or landscape .. it's just a straight ugly, no one likes.
