A lot of work has been done on the site but not much on the actual height of the hotel. Only about 1 floor has been completed since the middle of May. The latest floor took a little over 2 weeks to put up.

how to import photos on this forum

Hi Dazzee - the way that you post a picture to this forum is fairly straightforward if you are posting a reply to this topic. When you are typing in your reply you should see a fair amount of icons directly above the box you are typing in that allow you to change the font, the size, include links, etc.

Simply click on the yellowish icon with small mountains on the icon (immediately to the left of the pound sign) and you will be able to insert a photo.

Looking forward to what you have to add.

Sounds like the hotel is up to about the 11th floor now, so 4 more left to go?

Working on 10th floor now. When I count the floors in the picture from previous posts, I count 16 floors. 6 floors left to build. (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)

Spokane Updates

I talked with Greenstone the other day and they told me that construction for 2014 was more or less complete. However, in the same breath they did mention that there is a very small chance that they would start on a smaller commercial lot, but that it wasn't likely and would probably be started in the spring of 15.

Spokane from High Drive this afternoon. Notice new convention center hotel. 3 floors from topping out. They have been doing a floor a week. So based on that they should be finishing the last floor by end of October.

Any thoughts about my thought about sports facilities near downtown. Thought it might be nice to fantasize a bit.

The hotel actually looks good from this angle. I can imagine what Spokane Falls Blvd could look like with further densification. We have plenty of parking lots! Also, an updated and renovated park could really complete the picture.

And an updated park will drive densification along Spokane Falls! Now is the time to be excited about what the future holds for that area of downtown. The latest downtown plan includes a "catalytic development proposal" for the parking lots near the Bennett Block and the Liberty Building. Hopefully the park will drive investor interest.

Kendall Yards

I guess a small chance wasn't so small after all.

Looks like Worthy's hotel is topped out.

There is suppose to be a 3-4 story condominium building built at the Southwest corner of Summit Parkway and Elm. It could be this rendering:

Found these in this web site:

Wow

I can only pray that they don't do a one story building on the corner of Summit and Monroe. The rendering of the multistory building looks awesome!

Good find. Let's hope this is what's planned. Kendall Yards seems to be a lot of older folks. Not a bad thing, but some young professionals needs to be attracted there as well. A little pricey.

Ouch. I guess at Over the Hill 45 I better go pick out my cemetery plot.
