^Why not just keep this thread open? It would be a waste for a thread with so much info to languish in the archives. I think all completed projects should eventually end up here.

What a way to kick off the thread again hydro! I would love to see the progress of the base since it wasn't completed when the thread was closed. Also the mechanical penthouse STILL isn't done!!! Great to have this thread back

Once a project's construction phase is over so is the construction thread, and a continuation of posting about the project can take place in a new thread here just like how the Sears Tower and Hancock thread was started.

That section was open before but the SSPIA didn't want to link the diagrams to construction threads after they were finished also, which could lead to linking to dead links and photos and stuff.

And plus this isn't any different than archiving a thread in the Thread Archive section and starting a new thread from there. Maybe in addition to the diagram links at the top a link to the construction thread can appear, which would appear on all pages of this thread.

I just don't see the point of starting an entirely new thread when we already have one with so much valuable information. Alas, what will be will be.

So far this year

Hydro - stunning shot - and quite tricky - tried that one several times - now I will keep on trying.

A balmy warm day finally

As seen from IBM plaza

Upper level

Lower level
Wrigley (and Wendella boats) on the other end

relatively balmy.

Looking West - note the unfinished railings.

I like the railing with the river walk in the background, doubt it was intentional but the patterns seem to complement each other.

From a week or so ago

Yeah, it's a dog walk. I love that idea. Anything that gets people out. I got my wife a spa package at the Trump the day I took this picture, she said she was very underwhelmed by the decor inside the whole building (expect the lobby), especially after all my praise of the exterior. We're both designers, and love minimal/modern, but she said it was just sparse, not ultra lux like she expected.

A dog "walk" - place for them to defecate - has been in use for a few weeks now.
