Bottom left they are trenching from the temporary electric pad into 4th street.

Lots of form and rebar work in central core with a couple pours already complete. They also applied multiple layers of material to the main core slab. You can see the end black layer on the south side and they have started backfilling the area with gravel on the north side.

Form work at top right in pit that they had dug for mechanical space?

Started pouring rectangular columns above grade in SW corner (visible just peaking out of the cooling tower).

Oh just how time flies and even more so as one ages and we’ve been devoting a year of viewing updates and photos (thanks Ray) and have a very large new parking garage to show for it.

This is my favorite building going up. I love the all glass facade and the lines of this building. I can't wait to see this on the skyline. I wish it was taller so it doesn't eventually get lost below potential future supertalls...

It's just purty to look at....

I fully agree but it's funny to wish it was taller to avoid being lost in the crowd considering it was originally going to be around 580ft!

A nice round 1,000 ft on this design would be great. Surely they could toss on the additional floors and give it a sharper point on top right?

First, I wouldn't bet on any more supertalls anytime soon. And, second, it's one block up from Cesar Chavez & Lady Bird Lake - so nothing taller is going to be built in front of it. It's will look great from the south side of the river.

I think it is the perfect height for its location. It's 710' tall.

Yeah, I think we should appreciate all the towers we have U/C during the next two years. Capital markets have pretty much dried up.

At least we have a lot of construction going on over the next two years to keep us entertained until then.

Building the 3 levels of isolated concrete beams and columns that support the structure holding the skin of the Crown is going to be tough enough as it is right now!

More floors? Please, no!

Don't get me wrong, I love the height. I just have to wonder how long it will be a prominent building in our skyline. The lines are amazing. The is the type of building you want to see on a skyline. It's memorable. I can't wait to see this thing top out!

Over the long haul, I believe this tower will be prominent in Austin's skyline as viewed from the MoPac bridge across the south shore of Lady Bird Lake all the way to the lower sections of Rainey.
