The woodlands is perfectly walkable and livable by the way, not an office park.

You said somebody was just naming la neighborhoods. Youre wrong.
Galvenston? Economic center? Ive seen greeenspoint. La/oc have alot of places like that. Most of them are downtown areas not office parks.

You think greenspoint and galvenston are economic centers but beverly hills isnt? West hollywood beats galvenston and nobody in la ever brings it up in these discussions.

The original phrase was edge city, which I define as clusters of skyscrapers, maybe I'm wrong but I've never seen a cluster of high rises in Beverly Hills.

Galvenston and greenspoint arent a cluster of skyscrapers. 10 to 15 story buildings? Yea beverly hills has that. Along with many other places in la. Have you been to la? You would know places like brentwood and westwood have their own clusters. Woodlands and energy corridor have less highrises than a place like irvine. Houston isnt different. Sorry.

Well, I never said Houston was different, nor did I compare it to LA.

Check page 3. An la former named some of las "clusters" and you said not all of those count. Then you brought houston into it. Id say you dropped the comparison right there.

The way I see it I'm stating facts. For the sake of conversation, those are not edge cities. I see no comparison between LA and Houston but rather what is an edge city and what isn't.

Yes. In fact the Texas medical center is more than two miles from downtown, not that that matters, they are two distinct skylines. There are several skyscrapers at the strand too.

Uh its called a business district or a city neighborhood. An edge city is irvine or tysons corner. Either way la has more clusters, Edge cities, economic centers etc. If theyre all the same thing. I dont know how mid wilshire and irvine are both edge cities but thats me.
