I've been looking around the net for a larger version. (OK, and maybe I'm looking for an affordable reprint too.) I'm a little puzzled why some versions on the net show the circle around the Frostonya...

Are we certain the map was originally drawn and published with a circle around the Frostonya?
EDIT: Still searching around the net, and I stumbled across a few very large, high-quality images of early pictoral maps of Los Angeles at a site called
bigmapblog.com. (Not the Leuschner map, however.)
This 1909 birdseye map has a staggering amount of detail, with names for virtually all major buildings and businesses in Los Angeles at the time.
