The winds wiped out this morning's planned work, wanted to get stuff done before memorial opened at 10am but winds just were too high, so work canceled. That is why it is so hard to make any sort of scheduled date for stuff now. Between rain and wind, it is not feasible.

As a weather enthusiast and someone who wants to become a meteorologist in the future, I follow the weather closely in the NYC area. Unfortunately it may remain a bit gusty tomorrow, but Tuesday should feature lighter winds.

I wonder if they'll need to take the original crane down to do the guys. Once they get to the lighter upper sections, it seems like they wouldn't need it anymore.

I know I'm a minority of one here, but Beekman always looked like somebody forgot to flatten the wrinkles out of the blueprints.

Thanks,

Today the cranes were shut down all day due to the wind

Omg I love the Beekman optical illusion walls. It's like an acid flashback hahah We need more cool looking modern buildings like it in our cities.

^^^ Looks almost like one of the Twin Towers. I can't help but feel that New York is back on track again for the extent of greatness skyline-wise.

From watching the video several pages back,, looks like the observation deck will be considerably lower than the original,, from the looks of it there's roughly a dozen more rows of windows to the roof,, "above" the observatory deck,, just seems like It should be at the very top (or close as possible).. Anybody know for sure? but I'd guess the public deck is 100ft lower than the original South tower Outdoor deck? I think that sucks!!! Or are there gong to be 2 obs deck's, the slightly less expensive 1 (lower), then the higher (closer to the roof) more expensve? I know the SWFC is set up like that.

I'd say it's more like 30-50 feet lower.
