Yannow.as i look at the crane that actually sits on the temporary platform,I've noticed a few things.

A) It doesnt look like it has a base section and appears to just be bolted/attached kinda flimsily to the deck plating if you look at some of the overhead shots from a few pages ago. I wonder if this is very stable, especially if it's going to need to jump eventually??

B) I also notice there is no external lift section near the top of the tower, which leads me to wonder if perhaps they will just add a few sections of lattice to the boom to make it longer??

C) will they eventually brace it against the lower, more meaty sections of the mast somehow to add some stability??

Good lord, at this rate they'll have this thing done by the end of the week.

Are all the sections on site, or are there more to be shipped? And what about the beacon, is that on site yet?

I want more pics of the base cladding. I don't see any fins on the cam?

From what I can see on the earthcam, it looks like a decent amount of cladding has been added to the south side of the base.

Walked out of the Path today to catch the next spire piece being lifted. Stuck around for more than an hour waiting to try and catch it getting put in place, but they must have gone to lunch

By the time I got back into the area an heading back home it was already up. There is another section waiting at the top for tomorrow too.

Anyways, enjoy.

Sorry for my language but holy crap! Those pictures were astonishing. That base cladding looks absolutely gorgeous, the spiretenna looks awesome and the vented windows on the south-west side with all of the facade in place makes the building look ginormous. This is truly turning out to be a beauty.

Looks like the antenna is somewhere around 1600 ft already, more than halfway there.

I wish they would leave all the scaffolding on it- gives it more presence.

Any ideas one when the spires guy-wires will be installed? They're my favorite part of this whole structure.

^^^ The mast might still be view-able if this is how it will look in reality.

The walkways are temporary to help the construction workers assemble this massive spire.

The pace of construction is really moving pretty fast, so it won't be long until the spire is complete and the temporary platforms are removed.

Not sure what you mean by "view-able", but what you see is what we are getting.

You can't blame them for eating lunch, they really worked hard today on this exciting section of the tower.
