Cool shots, that one tower is so much taller than the rest. I have plans to stop in OKC on the way to Dallas later this year.

^ Thank you both! Another tower is under construction just to the west of the Devon Tower and will be about half as tall.

Nice. For now at least the Devon Tower is owning Oklahoma City's skyline.

I suppose Devon Tower looks bigger and taller because it is closer?

Man does OKC have some good looking towers downtown, both old and new! Great photos. I was kind of surprised though how sparse the urbanity was outside the downtown core when I was there (at least the little I saw.) Are there any up and coming neighborhoods around the city that we should be watching?

Beautiful sunset/sunrise shots! Some nice older buildings downtown. What is the glass sculpture in the last photo, looks like a gateway over a bridge?

oklahoma city had less than 5,000 people in 1890, although it boomed right before WW2 due to discovery of oil in the area, hense the collection of pre-war office buildings, downtown. it never really had a chance to develop large, mature wealthy pre-war neighborhoods. tulsa seems like it was a bit wealthier, perhaps, but not sure.

the last time i passed through both - oklahoma city seemed more "texan," or southern plains while tulsa felt more like a little kansas city, or western midwestern-ish.

It's actually a steel sculpture. It's called the Skydance Bridge, which crosses over Interstate 40 to connect two parts of a future park.

Nice photos! Incredible how Devon Tower makes the other buildings look like dwarfes!

The Hales Mansion. At just over 20,000 square feet, the mansion has been the largest private residence in OKC since it was built in 1916.

The Overholser Mansion. It was built in 1903 and is 12,000 square feet. The mansion is now owned by the Oklahoma Historical Society and is open to tours.

The Bricktown Canal.

The Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown.

Autumn in Heritage Hills.

What happened to the lighting on Devon? It used to have LED's running up the sides & top.
