Now! October/early November is the best time of the year in SH for those temps. May/early June is good too.

If I had more free time when you were here, I would have taken you to some AMAZING spots to eat. That's XLB place you went to is considered passable by Shanghai standards.

Are you and Greenspace thinking of coming back any time soon?

Not for a little while, but I need a fix soon.

The little one ^^we went to with the orange stools was highly recommended by a few, including locals I thought not?

It's fine. I think it gets a lot of play due to its location (in a big tourist spot/accessibility). It's definitely not a 'destination' xiao long bao restaurant though. There are a few excellent hole-in-the-wall places that most western tourists wouldn't know about unless they frequented Chinese restaurant blogs before they came.

The one XLB restaurant chain in Shanghai (from Taiwan no less) that always meets the high standards put upon it (it's got one Michelin star) is Din Tai Fung. Really tasty food there.

Spectacular photos of this incredible city. Cannot believe how much higher that new tower next to Jin Mao and the Bottle Opener is. I was there three years ago and I think they were just getting started on that then.

We're actually having a legitimate fall here. Normally, it goes from summer to winter within a couple of weeks.

I think I went to the Din Tai Fung at that shopping mall in Xintiandi about 5 times in 10 days when I was over in October (was in town for work, so didn't have much time for lunch and it was close).

Actually meant to PM you while I was there but forgot. May be back again between now and Christmas.

Is that roof bar at House of Roosevelt?
