They have made the entrance/exit even smaller now. Also Brentwood has put up christmas lights all over the place as you can see those beam things are lit. None of them are on yet. There is also a Remembrance Day wreath set up by the tree in the fountain area.

A few observations today. The door to the Cactus Club was open, absolutely nothing going on inside there, they were using it for storage for what looked like Christmas decorations or something.

They have added a WELCOME sign to the old part of the mall next to Nike.

Saw a few people try to get into McDonalds but its still not open lol.

Saw non-construction types of people walking into the Rec Room area, so perhaps they have some staff for it? From what you can see it looks complete construction wise.

there was some workers working on the elevator in the plaza, not sure if it was adding lights or something else.

Nike has started to fill up with clothing etc. you can catch a peek of it through the windows. I imagine they want to open before Christmas.

The RBC is coming along. The area outside of it was all fenced off with what I assume are Christmas decorations, they had some lights on them. Some pics to follow...

the new WELCOME sign. Also the outside area is more cleaned up, construction equipment and trailers etc are not in the area now.

It looks like the seating and public areas of the food hall are done and only the individual food places are needing to be completed

Popped by today Nov 15. There were a few workers working putting up decorations as well as in other ares putting in windows, perhaps making up for not being able to work on Remembrance day.

Those pieces have come together to form a bow on the cubes. There are also lights that will look like ribbons around.

Thanks!

Great views (small living room!).
PS - playback at half or quarter speed to avoid ADD feeling.

Why would they place the bed like that in the bedroom.. blocks the view somewhat and it's obvious the head of the bead should go against the wall next to the switch.

That was bizarre to me too.
Also, there's a ceiling light in the living/dining area that is oddly placed (if the junction box is supposed to be for a dining fixture)

There were a few more changes. they have taken down and moved some of the fencing, it is much more open and easier to get around.

Also Nike will be opening on November 20, aka this friday, the windows were unpapered with staff inside setting up and people watching from outside.

The new mall, on the other hand, looks like it is being put together rather well now. However, the delay of retail shops opening at the same time is just quite frustrating, as not a lot more shops will be opened before Christmas. Would be nice to be able to go there to shop at more stores rather than the one or two at the moment.

Honestly, based off the name and logo, I thought this was an off-brand discount suit warehouse type store. Happy to hear that TAB is somewhat getting the "luxury" fashion everyone was talking about.

The new parking lot is open now and you can now drive through that roadway that will take you out to Willingdon and Halifax.

The Nike store had a small lineup, due to covid limits. The mall overall was busier and a lot of people walking around commenting to each other about things.

they've added more wayfinding signage and The Rec Room signage has been installed now. I think there will be one more sign for the Rec Room to the right/North at the other end of the plaza.

There was also some work going on at the fountain, I didn't take a pic but the tree had a mound of dirt around it.

I also noticed more of the retailers/restaurants have had more workers coming in and out of them so they are getting a lot of them underway now.

How come you are spending so much time in the area, SpongeG? Did you move to Brentwood? Thanks for all the photos.

I work close in the area so I drop by every now and then but too lazy to take photos. I saw a guy taking photos last week with a phone. Wondered if it was someone from SSP.

I went into Sportinglife and was actually surprised how big the store was. It's massive and they actually carry a lot casual sports brand clothing as well. Thought it was going to be all Arcteryx, Patagonia, and etc.

Thanks for all the updates!

Progress has been crawling lately but hopefully things will pick up soon...

Has anyone who has parked underground experienced the huge pain in the butt of coming back out? As of right now there is only one way out of the massive parkade (Halifax St exit) and as of last week they've blocked off the left two lanes which means any vehicle coming out of the parkade has to go straight westbound and merge onto Halifax or turn north on Willingdon.

When mall traffic picks up, that's going to be one hell of a bottle neck.

It's on my commute home and I stop every other day or so to get Starbucks or pop into London Drugs, I find the parking there the easiest, the Starbucks in Solo never has parking.

all the signage for the Rec Room is up and the screen was on. Behind me all the available tables were being used as well as most of those wood platform things and the starbucks outside was all full too.
