Looks GREAT from the Back Bay! How many more floors before this tops out?

It's at or near the top floor. You can see in DZH22's photo that the highest exposed floor is higher floor-to-ceiling than the lower ones. That means it's one of the top floors. Then the crown.

I think 4 or 5 plus the mechanical crown. Nobody knows what it will be for sure. (at least, nobody posting on any of these sites) These pics are at 51 but I think it's now working on 52, out of an expected 56 plus mech.

The proportions in this picture look better than what I remember from the renders at similar angles and it just looks so tall at that angle.

Millennium Tower Sets a Date for Its Official Topping-Off

A reader yesterday sent the above photo of the under-construction Millennium Tower (and its ginourmously tall crane) to the always-discreet Curbed Boston Tipline. Which got us to thinking of when the tower that might just change Downtown Crossing forever will actually at least start to be done. Seriously, it seems like it's been going up forever. Well, what should also come over the tipline but an invite to a topping-off ceremony for the 690-or-so-foot spire.

Developer Millennium Partners is hosting the invitation-only event Thursday, Sept. 17. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will be the guest of honor. Below is another shot yesterday of the construction.

Only from the sides either end of the building is pretty skinny.
