Thank you shop architects for salvaging 57th st with your design, as mediocre one 57th and dreadful 255 w57th seek to ruin it.
one guy in other forum section say that one 57 is a mediocre building, is there some one that agree with him? is there someone that think is a wonderfull tower?
personally i love it, but i have not seen in the reality.

I'm still not understand where 225 is "dreadful" if there's no rendering on 225. Am I the only one who hasn't gone crazy?

One57, at least we know what it looks like. If you think it's mediocre, I disagree, but I can understand differing opinions. I don't get judging a building based on a nonexistent rendering, though.

Not everyone will like the same thing. I think this tower is gorgeous, among the best of the new.

This is the tower that put 57th Street on the map as the place to be if you are going to be high in the skies above New York.

This building is nice in my opinion. I am not liking what I'm seeing so far for 225.

This tower has a lot of character to it. I'm very pleased!

Not long from now we won't be able to imagine the skyline without it, and I can't imagine it in any other city. It's so perfect for it's location and for Midtown in general.

I agree NYguy this tower did put 57th Street in the map, and many more great towers to come from this corridor.

From the picture above it looks to me as they are lowering the crane.

Looking at that photo, it's hard to believe that this will be the "small" one.

That's true. Before Trump World Tower was built, Cityspire was the tallest residential in New York.

Elegant building. As other supertalls sprout up, i think One 57's floorplans will set the standard. The A-lines in particular. The core dominated, super skinny type floorplates may end up a bit less desirable.

There's a tornado watch, so of course CNN had to zero in on the crane.

Here's another pic from lensepix

^ Probably because there's a "crane failure" at One 57. Load is stuck halfway up.

jamrock_nyc

On a positive note, it appears they are in the middle of taking the crane down.

Heard about a crane failure in midtown Manhattan on the local Orlando news. Something told me it must be One57. Cranes are really doing a number on that project. .....haha
