I kinda disagree with that. Though Amazon would have been game changing it wouldn't have pushed Philadelphia to the top cities for employment. We do however need more companies to locate here into the city. Doesn't have to be Center City or UC either. Just in the city.

It's absolutely not a "cope" with headlines like this, too: https://commercialobserver.com/2024/...office-leases/

The "Big Tech" boom of the 2010s are clearly over, and this is before even more positions are phased out with AI.

The takeaway from the Amazon "sweepstakes" is that maybe next time every city and its mother shouldn't be so gullible about lofty promises. Focusing on retaining homegrown startups should always take MUCH more priority than sketchy relocations/tax break incentives.

I'd rather be focusing on organically building a red-hot biotech scene like Philly currently is. It's much more sustainable and consistent.

I now see why Riverwalk south is on an angle. It could be for the views, but check out the reflection

Does The Josephine have entrances on Moravian or just Sansom?

I love the idea of shutting Sansom down to cars. The 2000 block seems like it would work too, assuming the businesses would be into it.

I believe the Moravian side of The Josephine is for the loading dock and possibly the exit for parking

Speaking of The Josephine, the (presumably) developers put 360 degree renderings on Google Maps. Check out that amazing view of Liberty Place!!

idk what they used to replace the sky but it chopped off the Liberty One spire, the top of Mellon, and Comcast 1 & 2

The skyline itself around the building in that image is directly ripped from Google Earth. I presume the tower tops are cut to give the Liberty Place model model detail in that rendering. And for the spire, it could've been cut out when placing the different sky background
