Maybe let's all wait the formal announcement from Oxford?

That's my hope, too, but it's probably a pretty distant possibility.

I wonder how much distant, as I would hazard the parkade site, right across from the ICE district, could all of a sudden be a heck of a re-development site.

That would be my hope, but realistically parkades are gonna be a license to print money because arena.

I personally don't like the loss of existing retail space to more parking because when Ice District comes a going concern this mall should once again attract high foot traffic. But then again one of the worse parts of City Centre Mall is the underground tunnel betwixt east and west. When I talked to an Oxford rep a year or two ago, I was told there were plans to expand that tunnel, but they must have found that very prohibitive hence this current plan.

Who sends someone a rendering and expects the public to keep it from being posted? What company does this? Super lame.

Shoppers looks pretty good from Jasper at night, 104st is marred by the big red box and lifestyle posters, but MUCH better than Rexall 108st. Looking forward to having this in the neighbourhood and seeing what groceries I can snag there.

Welcome!

I'm sure "the company" would not condone this. Who knows where it came from

Not a smart move on behalf of the person who posted it though

Downtown Save-On expansion has gone full bore. No noticeable changes to the grocery section yet, but the non-grocery (pharmacy, books, cards, households) has been shunted to the spaces formerly occupied by Quiznos, Rogers, etc. with new pharmacy counter on the way. Here's hoping we see wider aisles and more food selections to come.

Shoppers at Jasper/114 has a grand opening date for their new location (3 blocks west) posted on the door. I think it said November 28.
