There are permits out for a facade improvement, so I have to think it is attached to them.

That Scotia Bank has taken a long time. I remember seeing some drawings when we were building the tower.

Can anyone provide an update on the Manulife renovations? Are they underway? I've not been to town since last fall and am curious if that project was stalled by COVID and broader market-reassessment.

Have not started physically. But they are going ahead, according to a couple of people in the know.

Interesting. Thanks for that. I'd presumed they'd already commenced onsite work but I've gotten ahead of things. Maybe shifting market conditions had them re-thinking the design and economics too.

Last I heard their 'anchor' had pulled out or postponed.

Rumours abound, but a popular branded restaurant and a women's clothing store among others.

GYMVMT is permanently closing their Edmonton City Centre location. Another huge blow to ECC, and another reason why I will no longer visit ECC. That plus with GoodLife taking forever to open in Commerce Place (if they ever will open), looks like I'll need to choose either Crunch Fitness in the CWB Tower or Archetype in the Stantec Tower. Any other suggestions for downtown?

103 Street YMCA? Grant Macewan's gym?

The Don Wheaton YMCA is a great idea to consider! Thanks, Harrison.

YMCA is a bit pricey, but has a fantastic facility, pool, hot tubs and we loved playing Badminton, floor hockey and volleyball there as well.

The little cafe there is one of THE hidden gems for food and cake.

Heard Don Wheaton YMCA may not re-open until September. But great facility.
