Sad to say, I find that it's but (pun not intended) a tiny minority of these self-centered morons who care enough what you or I think to feel even a smidgen of shame.

Usually they just scream back that you should eff off and/or give you the finger.

Good looking building. Do they do anything to activate that plaza in the summer? great space, but it looks pretty sparse for people and activities...

^As far as festivals or the sort? no....not yet....

There is two strips of water fountains shooting up right down the whole plaza, lights up at night. The plaza has gotten lots of people hanging around every time I went on a warm day last summer.

Here's a nice shot of the water taken by Daveography posted here last summer. https://www.flickr.com/photos/raptor...l/20780381930/

Yeah, festivals, events, food trucks, vendors... anything to keep it from being a big empty wind swept plaza. Don't think I've ever actually been to that area when I've been up in Edmonton, usually just go to the areas around Whyte or Jasper. That fountain pic is pretty sweet though, nice shot!

Expect a lot more programming and other 'stuff' this year, but yeah, the fountains are fantastic.

Don't worry, it's plenty busy in the summer and I believe that there should be more on the way. Last summer was the first time it was properly open to the public.

^yup, night and day once summer arrives, but we should ensure better use and opportunities for use in shoulder seasons, akin to what we have done with Churchill.
