The "Ugly" non waterfront view of Miami

These are a few pics of Miami's skyline from the Little Havana neighborhood west of downtown / Brickell away from Biscayne Bay :

https://www.flickr.com/photos/miamib...n/photostream/

^ As you can see there are a lot of 10-20+ story apartment buildings in Little Havana !

Sunrise over Miami International Airport & the downtown skyline

which is 5 miles | 8.05 Km to the southeast of Miami International Airport hence no supertalls yet due to the FAA !

Wow these are amazing photos, never seen Miami like this although they indeed look very un-Miami without the water.

Look like Panama City, Vancouver, some parts of Toronto, Surfers Paradise, and other resort town worldwide.

For this one if you don't say it is Miami, I will consider Manhattan in early 2000s and try to find Empire State Building, or Houston.

Kinda hard to find these shots. All of them are from the water.

From the airport.

This one is 2012.

Can this one count?

Of course it can since this pic has 3 skylines with Coral Gables in the fore ground, the downtown Miami / Brickell skyline in the middle & the Miami Beach skyline in the far background.

I wish Quantumx was still around.

Its difficult to find photographers who would capture Miami the way he did (especially with aerials). I wish I joined ssp earlier to see much of his work and chat with him.

But, he will never be forgotten!

I also wish I discovered ssp when a lot of the SSC Miami members where around. Maybe some of them would not have fled.

The photographer went a little heavy on the depth of field. Well, way to heavy, but nevertheless, somewhat of a non waterfront view. Really, from the back.

Yeah Miami kinda looks like Manila in a way when viewed from a non waterfront perspective.

The U.S. Manila.

The non waterfront view of Miami looks like Manila or Jakarta or bit of Bangkok, end of conversation.

Interesting to see Miami from another angle. Looks almost like a big Asian city from this vantage point.
