The Pearson-Union rail also will be a big plus for the city.
(when YUL is hooked up to the Montreal Metro, the three largest cities in Canada
will have direct airport-downtown rail links. Kinda nice.)

Instead of the Heavy rail (SRT) in Scarborough, they should've put a subway there from the start! Transit City cost less than the Scarborough subway? Wow, Ford is really F*cked up.
Just how crowded are the subways these days? I've been out of Toronto for many years, so t's been quite some since I last took the subway at rush hour.

Has construction started on that project? I hear from my coworkers from Montreal that it's been talked about for years!

I like your work Doady. Only thing I would suggest, would be including a stop at Billy Bishop for the 9 line, and maybe re-routing the 6 line to include Cherry St near Polson St for the Sound Academy.

Serving Portlands redevelopment is a good idea, but is it even possible for an underground line there? It would probably have to be elevated or something. Maybe light rail would be best.

That's a good question. I'm not sure how feasible geologically an underground line would be in the port lands, but would guess if deep enough it would work.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know how long the Union Pearson Express will be (i.e. total kilometres in length)? I've been looking at its recent news and stuff, and that info doesn't seem to be publicly available for some reason.
