It looks like the stuff used on the parapet is non load bearing cosmetic stuff. not the high psi stuff the rest of the building is built out of. Just going on the texture etc. that I see. I know nothing

This isn't 432 . . a thing that looks like this, . .
needs a REAL name . . To me, it's still "the DRAKE" . .
It WAS a grand hotel, with a cozy, fun lobby . . called the Drake . .
So now, . . it's a 1400 foot pencil grid . . called the Drake . .
why not ? . . Right ? . .
a cool, severe, odd name, for a cool, severe, odd building . .

I mean, . . it looks more like a Rake, than a Drake . . but yet . .
this thing looks as much like Park Ave., as a dead horse . .
and "the Drake", sounds better than "a dead horse" . .
however unflogged . .
"Driver, take me to "a Dead Horse" - 432 Park . . make it snappy !"
Change the signage. . . It's the Drake.

Man takes stupidity to new heights, climbs iconic skyscraper

By Amanda Woods, Shawn Cohen and Elizabeth Rosner
May 13, 2016

Quote:
A Spider-Man wannabe scaled to the top of the Midtown skyscraper that’s home to the upscale Four Seasons Restaurant on Thursday — then safely climbed back down, only to be arrested, police said.

The 23-year-old man was caught after climbing up the 11th floor of the 39-story Seagram Building at Park Avenue and East 52nd Street at about 5 p.m., cops said.

“He was in regular clothes, nothing special or crazy,” said the doorman of the Four Seasons. “He was shimmying up the building. He jumped over and went on the other side.”

“Some girl in our office space said, ‘Wow, someone is sliding down the black rod,’ and claimed a police officer was chasing after him on the platform,” said Cynthia Ross, who works on the eighth floor. Cops cuffed the daredevil two blocks from the building, at East 54th Street.

As cool as the pictures are he should still be arrested. If he accidentally falls he could kill someone and/or create a horrible mess to clean up.

Large Aerial. Many many developments can be seen. Really, its appropriate for other threads as given the scope of construction, aerials can be hard to be specific, but note 432, and realize the impact that the 57th Street supertalls will have. Two of them being taller than 432.

Also note the construction along the East River Coast. Many of those crappy river properties will be developed overtime.
