If you see the shadow from any skyscraper over your head, tradition declares an early spring!

Yes, lets make towers illegal for the dangerous shadows they cause. Lets dismantle all of New York and have little huts that make little or no shadows at all. How can people possibly be THAT stupid...I guess you just need to live with`em. I don't like causing shadows myself so on sunny days I stay inside! Some people don't know how lucky they are.

Wouldn't surprise me if those dermatologists along Central Park South are protesting the shadows. That would mean less business, um, I mean healthcare opportunities (because we all know suffering and aging skin means $$$).

People should look at the health benefits, and also the comfort during hot summer days, knowing that the shadows offer a refuge from the heat and blinding rays. Good for those who want to have youthful skin. They should also wake up to the fact that they live in NYC. That alone should be a good enough reason to wake up being happy.

This sites most photographed building is making headway. Hoist coming down. the protection screens almost gone. Now just get rid of that orange netting for once and for all.

My Opinion

So here we are, celebrating the rise of 432 Park Ave. in New York City, which is several blocks away from Central Park.

Some city residents are up in arms over the so-called, over-hyped and very ignorant claims of shadows appearing in the park.
It is a fact that any shadow will only stay in place for approximately 10 minutes in a 24-hour time-frame.

Think about THAT logic folks!

Everyone knows that visitors and tourists alike visit the city to experience these mega-tall skyscrapers!
Many of them convert into New York by moving in.
Say what you want, but 432 Park Ave. will not cast a shadow that covers any part of Central Park.

Here comes the towers!

Here comes the shadows!

Here comes the excuses!!

TechTalkGuy, LOL! In the future they will be able to build a 3,000 FT skyscraper with no shadows...we don't have that technology yet, I think. people have better things to research, I think.

ooooo - ahhhhh . . .
- hunser's ethereal purple crown shot -
looks like the top two rows of squares on 432 . .
are soon to be our defining skyline illumination on cold winter nights . . nice . .
- NYguy's "just in time for thanksgiving" shots of cozy autumnal splendor . .
showing colored Central Park trees juxtaposed with our spikey new CPS skyline . .
say . ."Here come the goofy giant balloons" . . "It's gettin' nippy" . .
- queensnyman's 1st big shot above - Dude - only your photographs from Boondockville
can make skinny 432 . . look like it's Wiggling the earthquake boogie-woogie . . uh-oh
fragmentation just when I started lovin' this landmark filament . .
thanks for fine pictures guys . . I'm travelin' home for the holiday.

Hey! There is no illegal. You can't do that. That's not appropriate. So please don't do that again.
