The aim is to get a thread so we can share information regarding interesting lectures related to the forum in and around Montreal.
The 'Learning From' lectures at the CCA are quie interesting. Last week, October 9, 2014, the CCA hosted 'Learning from... Nairobi' by Italian documentary and architecture photographer Filippo Romano. It was quite interesting, but I was surprised that there were only 15-20 people in the theatre.
There are also lecture series at the two architectural school (McGill and UdeM,) and I am sure we also have lectures @ the Urban Planning schools. We also have the The Centre for Zero Energy Building Studies (CZEBS) at Concordia University (Building Engineering,) though their lectures are much more technical.
Finally, the are various of other architectural / planning firms that tend to put out lectures or events. Some of us are connected to these various centres, so when we get inside scoops, we may post it here.
Please feel free to propose a better title, or and formating of presentation.
