^ Wow, that last image is stunning. I love how it reflects light. I can't wait to see it lit up at night. Are they doing any interesting crown lighting?

This building is a real stunner. I kinda wish fantastic buildings like this weren't so crammed so close so that you'd notice it more.

This one is looking like an absolute stunner. It's like the Chicago John Hancock got filleted by a master Sushi chef.

...While i truly love the baby it is "smoother"than i expected.
I was expecting a rougher texture, something more virile...

I agree. Although I absolutely love the overall shape and concept of this tower, I was expecting the diagonal/irregular beams to be more 3 dimensional. They are so subtle and kind of get lost in the gridwork from many angles. I think if they were on the outside of the window grid it would have been far more striking. The play of light and shadow would have been more dramatic as well as the variation in texture.

I think you people are reaching. This building is stunning, you'd be hard pressed to find a better tower under construction. Could it have been better? Well presumably anything can be better. But would it get a higher score? Absolutely not. There are some who prefer it the way it is. Either way, I consider this city lucky it's getting built here.

A look at the model...

^concur in full. Stunning design, amazing architecture, incredible logistics to construct and a new NYC icon to add to a small but important list.

Could be the nicest/most attractive skyscraper built anywhere since Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong. Could be the best skyscraper constructed in New York City since the ESB.
