If like me, I like to vote on the actual election day. I toss mine too.

I'm sorry, I actually threw it in the recycle bin, since it was made from paper.

Looks like a November runoff election between Stanton and Gullet...I'm surprised by Gullets "success" given that he is a "lobbyist" and not many in Arizona supposedly like those types...

Where do we think Stanton's going to pick up the needed 12% from?

Where is the other guy going to pick it up from?

Or was it everyone else vs Stanton? As in...all the other people who voted for someone other than Stanton or Gullett will now be voting for Gullett?

1) Depends on who Neely and Mattox endorse.

2) There's a good chance that the people who came out to vote for Wright, Neely, and Mattox won't be motivated enough to come out for a different candidate the second time.

I too am rather surprised by Gullett's performance. A few months ago his campaign was floundering and not likely to make it at all.

I don't see hardcore Tea Party voters shifting to Stanton. (Wright + Brennan = 16% of the vote.) Gullett tried to position himself for those votes before they got into the race.

Neely voters (13%) seem much more likely to go to to Gullett than Stanton, in my view.

Mattox voters (12%) will probably split evenly.

To win, Stanton will HAVE to bring NEW people out to the polls. No other option.

It's going to really suck if Stanton doesn't win. Need a democrat in there to at least even things out somewhat with the rest of the leadership in this state.

I've been told and read in the Republic (I think) that November elections tend to bring in a larger percentage of the electorate. I am trying to find an actual source to confirm this theory but more likely, we'll have to wait and see if it holds true. With only two candidates more attention should be given to the November election and Latino organizers need to get their base out to vote for Stanton.

Can we leave the partisan bashing out of the thread?

I feel the same way about most republicans, but it doesn't contribute anything except negativity to say it.
