5000 km Later

Did a bit of travel earlier this month; drove across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, into Ontario a bit, through Minnesota, North Dakota, and back via Winnipeg. Took a lot of photos, and still working through a lot of them.

Figured a new thread made sense since I will have more to post later, and that this section of the forum made the most sense to post them in since they're not all urban. They may not be in chronological order, either.

Hope you enjoy them!

/\ even in bike-friendly Minneapolis it looks like people still ride on sidewalks. The infrastructure right there shows why though...

^ Well don't take that one photo as evidence - Minneapolis is a pretty big city. This area is pretty awkward, as it is basically where two major streets meet/diverge, and interchange with two freeways. Just south of here, both streets (Hennepin and Lyndale) become much more urban and bike-friendly.

Downtown Minnie was also quite bike-friendly it seemed, and had a lot of cyclists out and about, as did Uptown, which is a bit south of Lowry Hill pictured above.

Oh I know. Just making a comment in jest. I like Minni. The sister-in-law and her husband use to live there and we visited a couple times.

Not my most inspired photography, but downtown Fargo seemed too nice not to at least get a few passing shots.

If you ever find yourself in Fargo, be sure to check out Rhombus Guys (pictured below). Craft beer and pizza.

So in your expedition of the North Midwest did you happen to stop by Duluth?

^ No, but it was considered. We decided our schedule was already pretty packed, though.
