Hi Ford

Will it be a big raft slab again like Centennial?

Surrealplaces- that will depend on a few factors - mainly weather and how easily the excavators can finish digging.

Jim- yes, there will be a raft although it pales in comparison to the monstrosity under Centennial Place. I believe in the 1500m³ range.

Another update - November22

Raft slab

Ha, just a baby one, even the second slab at Centennial was that size or even a bit bigger if I remember rightly Nathan. The first one was a huge one wasn't it? Biggest in the west until the Bow got poured. Thanks for the update.

Updates - December 3

Yes Jim, I do believe that the second raft at Centennial was around the same size, if not slightly larger. The first one was just shy of 10 000, and was the largest continuous raft in the west for about 2 weeks until the Bow did theirs in half the time, hah!

Here are some updates! Moved the ramp - some areas nearly to grade for the crane footing, concrete soon!

Ramp on the north end

Hauling, Drilling and Lagging

Moving material for the ramp to exit south

Finished the ramp

The Excavator on the right is digging the first crane footing

Pix

Great updates Nathan, is it my imagination or is the excavation not as deep as Centennial and it seems to be a lot drier too? Amazing that you are working on the first crane base already, how many in total? Keep up the good work!!
Jim

i like this tower and it will also fit into its surroundings very well. giving that stairway incline to the skyline. gradually getting taller as move southward toward the center of the skyline, starting at the river and up up up.very good.imo

The more I see this tower, the more I love it. I saw the model of it the other day, and it looks great. I think this one will be a dark horse.

I saw that they were pouring concrete today.

Was it for the crane?

Yup. I'm thinking this one should probably be moved to the construction section.

Shouldn't this project be considered 'under construction' now and no longer simply a 'proposal'??
