With the opening of the 7 train extension earlier this month, things are finally starting to look up for Manhattan’s far West Side–literally. Hudson Yard’s Coach Tower is nearing its 900-foot apex, and Gary Barnett’s Extell Development has topped off construction on its 610-foot high skyscraper at 555 Tenth Avenue.

On the far left. Also a bonus of 10 Hudson.

We must all sip expensive wine, and then throw the bottle on the ground once finishing it all as a celebration for 10 Hudson topping out.

When 30 Hudson finishes, we will need a much bigger boost. We'll all head to Colorado, and smoke the finest kush in the land. To the point where we hallucinate that we are in NYC, but we never left the couch.

Hopefully it will soon be legalized in NY State because if the buildings are getting higher, why shouldn't the people?

I really like the base of this one.

love Chris's celebratory top-out party theme . .
and plenty of TO's are coming down our pike ! . .
and then cityGuy's absurd but brilliant line . .
"if the buildings are getting higher,
why shouldn't the people?" . .
you're darn tootin' . .

That's exactly what I thought when I saw this. The base screams class.

all glass towers . .
can almost seem to be sublimely regal . .
on the greyest of days . .
551 10th Ave seems to be no exception . .
But we've about reached the saturation point
in this neck of the woods . . for that kind of building.
