Here is what I believe is an accurate comparison to the old and new video boards. Red is old, Teal is new.

The main board isn't too much larger. The biggest difference is a wider aspect ratio. The addition of the two video boards on the sides is a big difference but those will probably be rotating ads.

We've moved into the next phase of videoboard construction as the sub structure that the panels will mount to are going up on the main videoboard supports.

Lower seating bowl is starting to fill out and the bottom edge of the horns above the player entrance is being formed:

Coincidentally, any idea what they did with the old one? Looks like it came down in a methodical disassembly and probably has a good number of working parts yet...

AD hinted that another videoboard will be going up in the stadium so I assume it'll be repurposed inside DKR.

DKR Memorial Stadium will now be renamed after Ricky Williams and Earl Campbell.

Lonewolf is correct. That change was suggested by Jamail’s family.

Reminds me of Boone Pickens Stadium at OSU with the vertical closed off end zone. Much larger video board though

Surprising. I guess they aren't too worried about it getting damaged during the construction around it. I would have thought it would be the last thing to go up, but access to the installation would be easier now i suppose.

The intention was always to have a working video board for the 2020 season despite the project not scheduling to finish until summer 2021.
