I don't specifically know the nature of this project, but I'm sure it is "mixed use".

There is now a mini-tower crane on site, and the foundation has been laid. The concrete pillars for the first floor are being installed.

The master plan for that area I believe calls for low rise mixed use buildings, up to four storeys in height.

I've heard these are two 3-storey mixed-use buildings, both with ground floor retail and upper floor residential. Both will front Champlain street. The city will also be building a new street between the two buildings which will link Champlain street and Gauvin road.

For those who haven't seen it, you can view a bit more about the preliminary visioning of this section of downtown Dieppe (bordered by Gauvin/Market/Champlain/College) at the link below under "Downtown Planning' and "Video"...

Our friends at Retail Talk & Share have been out and about, despite the pandemic. Since things are quiet, I will repost several of their photos in various threads to keep them active.

New mixed residential commercial project in downtown Dieppe on Champlain Street:

Another Spitfire Design project soon to get underway in Dieppe:

Place Sentier will be located at the end of Rue Lafeyette in Dieppe, backing on the Riverfront Trail (hence the name of the building). It will be four storeys, and contain 64 one and two bedroom units. Occupancy will be in late 2021. This is another project by Quest Capital, who are also building Promenade Neuf.

Unfortunately no. Unlike Moncton & Riverview, it is very difficult to find renderings of proposed or ongoing projects in Dieppe.

I was in Dieppe today and noticed that all of the houses except for one have been torn down on the block between between Sunset, Acadie and Sainte Therese. Anybody know what’s going on here? I imagine that there will be another sizeable apartment building built here.

Those houses were torn down last year. There is one hold-out house which is still standing as you mentioned.

I am not aware of what the plans are for this piece of land, but given the location immediately behind Horizon Place, I would imagine another large apartment building would seem most likely. This land is ideally located close to the rapidly developing downtown core of Dieppe.

I’m hopeful that it will front all of Acadie along this area and perhaps even have some ground floor retail. This would make for an excellent natural extension of downtown Dieppe.

I’m hopeful that the areas north of Champlain and south of Sainte Therese will eventually get the same treatment. The area in 10 years will be completely unrecognizable to how it looked 10 years ago from today.

I see the tower crane is now gone from Promenade Neuf.

Here's a progress photo from the Quest Capital Facebook page:

So Quest capital announce a New project (detail not publish yet) of a 42 unit . they destroyed a house at 1317 amirault. I think it's a whole new project next to the 245 lafayette project (64 unit) . anyone has info on this is it a new project or have they downsized from 64 to 42 unit.

From what you describe, it does sound like a new project. So, this is immediately adjacent to 245 Lafayette (Place Sentier)?

Let's say you are facing the river from amirault , this project would be at your right behind the existing apartment on lafayette and the 64 unit would left of lafayette in front of the river.

Quesada officially opened on Wednesday July 15th. So far the reviews are very positive. Hoping to check it out tomorrow before work 😊
