According to our fellow forumers in New York, 45E22nd (777') has T/O!

Also, the city has now 70 towers over 200m completed and T/O, respectively.

Hunser! Cmon! This is a thread for supertalls
Im just kidding though. Its great to see this all happening at such a fast pace. Every week it seems like something new tops out or is proposed.

Yes, but again, this thread is limited to the discussion of supertalls in New York - past, present, future, even imaginary.

Well this thread developed into 200m+ years ago. But yeah, the emphasis is on supertalls obviously.

Yup. Essentially Hunsers threads in his signature is all you need for NYC.

We have this thread for general discussion or news on 200m or greater and the rest for sub categories. High rises/ mid / low. Hunsers super talls is essentially the skyscraper/supertall general discussion and a reference/database.

Pretty much the organization is like this:

(A) Supertalls ⇆ "Individual super tall / skyscraper threads"

(B) Highrise Directory (110 ft/12 floors up to 199m) ⇆ "Individual high rise threads"

(C) Mid/low Compilation (<110 ft / 11 floors)

[A,B,C] ⇆ Photothreads

Given the big boom, its just easier to seperate the 100's of developments. Some cities on ssp have threads for 12 floor to 20 floor projects, but since the boom is so large, the compilations have been made.

So look at compilations as a general discussion on many numerous projects, and the threads as precise info on a select project.

I didn't even know the ESB was in the shot. O... there it is.

Little Marco its becoming.

But yeah, the King is being eclipsed. But its had its time. For over 70+ years. I think Vanderbilt is the ESB of this century for now. I say for now because even now, the city should be looking ahead. The era of having a singular, dominating tower is over. There is no more tenure, at least I'm hoping, with the super tall game. We have to be looking at the mega talls next. But, one step at a time. 300, 350, 400, 450m.... and so on. Baby steps. I just wish the rest of the country would follow suit. I'm tired of seeing super talls in NYC (although I want more... its an addiction). I want to see more cities in the U.S. get them and not just one every decade if that. Have to share the love.
