I've always loved those two twin towers. Reminded me of Dallas ( tv show from the 80s I was forced to watch ). Just reminded me of the huge glass towers in Dallas.
And imo two of the nicest towers on the prairies.

I've always found the towers to be a funny play on the most tired Regina joke ever.

That area around Victoria Park is fantastic. I've been to the Regina Folk Festival a number of times and love hanging out there.

^ Someone should do a parody of the Dallas theme song with drone footage of Regina... with your glass towers, and I'm guessing there may be some cattle farms and oil wells not too too far away, and an iconic football stadium, it could work out nicely

Now that you mention it, the Folk Fest is happening in the Park in that picture.

Hahaha, "Dallas" was/is an awesome show!!! Lol!!!

During 1983-84, Regina was dubbed as: "Dallas of the North" due to the Colin Thatcher flap. (That was when "Dallas" was at its most popular too.)

Throughout my adult life, I have always looked at Regina as a low-calorie version of Dallas, TX; the inbound view from Highway 11 is strongly indicative of that. The gold-coloured SaskTel Head Office with the backdrop of other buildings has always reminded me of the intro to "Dallas." Drone footage would be fantastic! (Especially with some footage of the SaskTel building from the north.)

Here is something to work with. It has some of the glass towers, although some are not built yet, the (old) football stadium, farmers fields and for you Winnipegers, your own Sam Katz!

^ Yeesh, Katz... at least the rest of the footage is good...the golden glow definitely reminds me of the classic Dallas theme

Have you seen the movie "Deadpool"?

Youtube article "Deadpool Fans Start Petition to Erect Statue in Character's Hometown"

(Announcer mispronounces our city's name, so I'm not sure if she got the joke!)

I love regina. always had a fantastic time whenever I've been through there or stayed there.

great people, and very underrated. probably the best skyline for a city its size too.

A 'little' dated (2008), but they hit the nail on the head.
