There hasn't been daily activity for a while. There are numerous reasons, more than what has been announced to the press. Activity should pick up soon however.

Glad to hear Love Park will be starting up again.

Side note--

Here's one of the new bus stops people were talking about a few pages back - I don't think anyone posted a pic of one:

They double fenced it last week and this week there are excavators working there. It looks like the project is back on track.

^ What's going on with the arched "window" at one corner? is that some sort of mural of bills posted permanently askew?

May be a partial preservation of the existing school building on site.

Overall, it's a great addition for that spot. Should really enliven that stretch of Woodland Avenue.

Target was mobbed so I only breezed through without looking closely at anything. Good size and more food than I thought there'd be. Toys, pharmacy stuff, clothes -- they really packed a lot in. It runs all the way from Chestnut to Sansom and is narrower than I thought. Only bad part about this project is that damn surface lot. There isn't going to be a Target lot at the 19th and Chestnut location, right?

Anyone know what's happening at the site bordered by 5th and 6th, Ban Franklin Bridge and Race. They completed about 95% of the demo, then up and left well over a month ago. Nothing since.

Yeah. Ya know how at Home Depot you can buy paint brushes in 3 categories - good, better, best - at significantly rising price points? I think that's the type of catalogue we buy our street furniture from. Paris and Chicago? Best. New York, better. Philly and Cleveland? Good. There's absolutely nothing interesting or nice about them other than the fact that they're not rusted out and painted hospital death green.

Yeah, the consensus was that the project going in to that space is butt ugly. The dirt patch is nicer to look at than the proposed property.

Like the man said: There are bus stops, and then there are Paris bus stops. Form follows function (and nothing more) is a little tired.
