The webcam lens on this one cam seems to be dirty - or something - the images are a bit blurry.
I hope there's a way that someone could get access to it and take care of it.

Skyisnolimit: I think everyone is painfully aware that the price of oil is around $30.... Things will bounce back.... they have before.

Just had the webcam on - It was about 9:00 Pm - and noticed - what looked like a couple of people up top the core.
Are there workers on site 24 hrs, or 16 hrs during the work week???

Notable how (relatively) little interest is being paid to Brookfield Place. When the Bow thread was on page 45 it had only just reached grade! Are we getting blasé about tall buildings in Calgary (perhaps preferring architectural innovation to height?)

When the Bow was being built it was a world class architectural firm designing the newest tallest and we hadn't seen a new tallest in nearly 30 years. It was also planned to be taller initially. And now only a few years later and another new tallest with a rather plain design compared (I'm not complaining I like it), it's hard for it to grab as much attention.

Just look at Stantec for Edmonton, while I'm not a fan of the look of that tower it's a huge thing for Edmonton and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there in the world that find the Bow unattractive but when it comes to Skyscraper enthusiasts it's always a big thing when you see a new tallest after a long drought.

Yes - I have noticed that. I have wondered if interest in this project was waning. Sometimes it would be 3 weeks or more before a new posting would appear on this thread. I like the activity - the more the merrier.

P.S. It would be interesting to know how many of us there are watching this building come together via the web cam - I have been on the web cam off & on over the last few weeks and I enjoy watching this building come into existence.

I have definitely been more active viewing the webcam than I have watching the building forum, since it's easier to do on the go.

Another week or two and this building will pop into my view from home, so I'll definitely be paying more attention to it a that point.

Fri - Feb 12 @ 1:00 Pm - this would be a good time for the webcam to have the
"FLIR" feature. Forward Looking Infrared Radar - would enable us to watch the construction through the dense fog that is there right now.

That's a really good idea, an expensive idea.. but that would be sweet.

Off topic: Maybe something like that for a cam on 17th Ave, or another busy stretch, it would be so cool to see all the warm bodies when it's busy.

Interesting thought on the cam for 17 Ave. People are so fascinating to watch when there's a crowd - especially during the night life along that stretch.

5:30 Pm on Feb. 20 - looks like a sand storm - but it's not. The way it looks with the sun behind BFP and the way the light hits the rest of it - makes it look like there's a sand storm in progress.
