ATLANTA - The Emergent Metropolis(New Update on Page 2)

I know we've been saturated with great Atlanta threads lately, but I've been incredibly excited to release this thread after months of shooting and many long hours of processing the shots.

I've started photography as a hobby in March when I released a friendly photo thread on here of Atlanta. I got my DSLR camera in the end of the May and I was extremely excited to take photos and quickly posted them online thinking my photos were the best. I didn't even white balance my shots! My photographic knowledge grew steadily through the next 2-3 months as I released my 2nd thread of this 3 part set in September. You could see stark improvement in the shots, but I still didn't maximize what I could do with my camera, now did I care too much about framing and composition. I spent 3 weeks not shooting at all, reading photography books, watching 2 hour youtube videos, and learning more about light, composition, and angle. I've grown more as a photographer in the last four weeks than I did in the last six months and now I want you guys to also experience my growth since I began.

This is the last photo set of my 3 part set of 2014 and I wanted to go out with a BANG! I've enjoyed my new hobby as a photographer. I absolutely love being able to record what I see and showing it to the world, to people who also share my interests.

Anyways, enough talking...you want to see the photos! That's what you're here for. I'll be updating this thread through the rest of 2014. Enjoy!

More photos to come soon .

Congratulations for this excellent photo tour of Atlanta, Ant131531!!

You did a great, great job, and I can see your knowledgements very well reached. I appreciate the high sharpness in all your pictures and very pleasant colours. The angles and scenes you captured make this thread as one of the best I´ve ever seen about the city of Atlanta. Your improvement is really notable.

If I would have to choose one picture, it´s seriously difficult, but I´d choose the first one: the night view of Atlanta´s skyline, which is beautiful.

By the way, can I make you a question? Just for curiosity, which camera and lenses did you use to take all these pictures?

Looking forward to see more pictures from you. I really enjoyed a lot this thread.

Greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Thanks so much for your compliments and I use a Canon T3i. I have 3 main lenses I use: Canon 50 mm f1.8, Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8, and Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS STM(Great Bokeh and focus, delivers near L level lenses quality). Only 1 or 2 of these shots were taken with the kit lens: 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. So I don't use a professional level camera or lenses, but it's amazing what even entry level lenses and DSLR camera can produce in terms of sharpness and photo quality. All of these lenses I got for under 250 USD.
