Incredible and amazing views! Thanks once more Ryan.

I am surprised for the high quality of the images.

By the way, Fall in Denver is awesome. Love the golden foliage in all your shots.

Looking forward for more pictures from you.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

incredible thread. The lighting is amazing. It is great to see all the new additions in that city since I left it about 9 years now.

^ Denver get the classic "inversion layer" phenomenon on many winter days, where still urban air gets trapped beneath air at a much higher elevation blowing off the mountains. This results in the classic "brown cloud" similar to what is often seen in LA. Denver residents love to hate on this brown cloud, and like other modern annoyances such as traffic, you will often find people who claim that Denver's pollution is "among the worst" in America.

But, as somebody who has lived here my whole life and traveled quite a bit, I think the air quality here really cannot be beat on most days. The brown cloud probably only appears less than 10% of the time. The lack of humidity plays the biggest role in the air clarity though. Most days when I lived in Longmont I could clearly see Pikes Peak nearly 100 miles to the south (for those who don't know the area, Longmont is well north of Denver, and Pikes Peak is west of Colorado Springs, well south of the Denver Metro Area).

In all fairness though, I have heard the particulate pollution has gotten a lot better since even the 70s, which helps the brown cloud a lot. Back during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush, when the industrial smelters were in full swing, I have heard Denver was as bad as any city in the world.

Great pictures as always Ryan!

Nice to see a few highrises outside the immediate downtown. Does the city have many highrises spread throughout the metro area? Any suburban highrise nodes or anything?

We do have a few high-rise nodes out in the burbs, but they too are urbanizing to their own little districts. One of the most prominent is the Denver Tech Center, straight outta 1990:

Bonus points if you can spot Downtown Denver in the first photo!

Hmm, interesting. It seems that the suburban highrises, at least in that node, are all office buildings.
