Peering Down on Denver From Above

According to the great fourmers in the Mountain West department, these photos deserve their own thread outside of my Denver mega-thread. Without further ado, as the title suggests, here is Denver from above!

Just amazing! Thanks, Ryan.

One question: How did you manage to take all these fabulous aerial shots?

Denver is a very pleasant and green city. I love it and I dream about visiting it.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

I was just in Denver! Beautiful city - definitely punches above its weight. It's truly a model for all "new" / "sunbelt" cities; very progressive and doing things right.

denver is very photogenic. nice shots. its also got alot of trees! if you've ever done that drive from the east along i-70, you'd swear it was all shrubby grass right up to the front range. i forget denver has tons of deciduos trees. thats cool. its looking very modern and tidy these days too. i need to visit.

Thank you for the kind words everyone! These were taken with a remote control quad-copter with a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition.

I'm super excited to fly above the trees as soon as Denver hits fall peak. There are some great tree lined roads which will have a nice golden glow!

Denver has to be not only the best Sunbelt City but also one of the best in the US.

Thank you everyone!

Cirrus - I don't think you're allowed to fly these in DC. Sad! Super sad!

Man, I love fall time. These were taking from my backyard, just a hundred or so feet higher.

Thread well done.

I liked the foliage pics. Fall is my favorite season in Denver. Looks like Denver had a good rain year too.

Hey thanks! Denver did have a very good year of rain, and hopefully that will carry over to snow!

Auraria Campus
(I tried to pano these, but because of the GoPro distortion, the buildings were dancing and tilted a bit too much when stitched.)
