It's more church business than culture. The Church headed the redevelopment of our downtown malls to form
City Creek Center , a mix use project with a mall and high-rise condos.
While SLC is a truly great place, with a metro population of over 2 million (Basically the largest midsized city in the US), downtown should have a bit more. Right now, projects like the Convention Hotel and a Broadway style Preforming Arts Center are in development that will drastically improve the downtown core. Visit sometime, you'll enjoy yourself.
