Some architectural photos from Halifax (too bad he didn't do Granville Street).

Not Canada but the architecture in Ghent is exceptional:

The colours of the buildings in St Jhons is a real reflection of the people who live there. I have so many awesome fun and funny Newfie friends. Great shots.

Judging from the design that might be one of the oldest in the province. It looks Avalon-Irish. I guess they didn't stand up much upstairs, or were very short. I wonder where it is?

I made a thread for this in the city photos section, but why not share it here as well.

Nelson is a small town of 10 000 residents nestled in the Selkirk Mountains on the shores of Kootenay Lake in British Columbia, Canada.

Despite its small population, the city has a very mature and active downtown core.

It was incorporated in 1897 and has a long industrial past.

For a town of such small size it has a surprisingly number of interesting locations for the urban enthusiast.

Starting with the more industrial part of town.

Reaching the downtown core now. First a look at the Courthouse

And now time to explore downtown itself!

There are many interesting small parks and staircases such as this throughout the town, playing well with its naturally steep topography.

In the summer the evenings are warm and the sun sets late, it is the perfect time to explore and enjoy.

If you ever find your way into the southern BC interior, Nelson is a must see.

Lots of small festivals and mountain biking events in the summer.

I knew it!
You post so many cool street shots, and I knew that eventually my modest little walk-up would appear . . . and so it did! Looks well maintained. So, I'm happy!
