Larry Uteck Boulevard area of Halifax, a greenfield suburban fringe neighbourhood that's developed in the last few years.

This is the first time I have seen a skyline shot of Bedford in the 20 years I have been here.

Very impressive for a suburban skyline!

In person it's astonishingly ugly. It's that tacky cheap looking suburban apartment block type development you see all over the Maritimes. Hideous.

I've got to agree. That looks terrible. It's functional at least.

You have to take the skyline within context of the surrounding area. It's a suburb of Halifax with less than 400,000 pop. Which makes the size if that skyline pretty impressive.

Having said that, it look like it came from Russia.

I agree that these buildings are unattractive. For some reason the developers in that area loved grey concrete and stucco.

One thing to keep in mind is that this isn't even a suburban downtown. It's the Halifax equivalent of a random pod of towers like you'd get in suburbs of Ontario. It's just on a hill near water because that's what most of the metro area is like.

Burquitlam's Newest trio of towers, with Lougheed in the near background and Uptown New West in the further background

These towers will be joined by quite a number of towers in the coming years, a number of them are under construction or will start in the coming months

On Friday, we celebrated completing the structure of Marquee at Lougheed Heights! This is a tremendous milestone and we are grateful for all the hard work of the trades, consultants, and client @BlueSkyBosa. Thank you to everyone who attended our event.

Metrotown and Brentwood steadily building up density, but things are really going to get interesting in the next few years. Burnaby has added substantially more residential density to the core areas, where even under the old zoning there are towers over 600' tall, and 1 proposal in Brentwood at over 700' tall. With an almost doubling in density in the core areas, it is likely we will see towers exceeding 900', or even tallest in Canada.

how many towers is brentwood adding? 30? Amazing Brentwood will be 11 on its own right when done?

Vancouver looks like it could be a metro 3 or 4x its actual size.
