I'm sure there's a rendering video out there somewhere showing what it would look like but I can't find it.

Maybe this would kind of give an idea? I would say the whole top notch would be lit

I don't know if this will show up or not. You might have to subscribe to the Austin Drone Pilots Facebook page to see it, but it's worth it.

When I was an intern at the Statesman (How long ago? A long time ago.) I had a desk at a window on the third floor facing downtown. Oh, to have that view now.

For reference, you can see my old window from here (as well as a really cool SUV with double front wheels which was apparently based on a design from a Hot Wheels car of the early 1980s). https://www.google.com/maps/@30.2626...7i16384!8i8192

That really is a great shot, and the lighting is *chef's kiss.*

Ready ready ready for South Shore to get moving in earnest.

It really makes it look like there are two downtown clusters of buildings... and the W hotel is just stranded in-between.

Possibly even three when including the Rainey cluster

The gap is pretty much where the 4th/Guadalupe parking lot, Republic Square, and Post Office sites are. The gap should fill in nicely when Republic Tower is built and whatever the Post office is developed into! Not to mention maybe some eventual development of the state garage by the courthouse.

And the Convention Center district will eventually fill in, too, as the CC footprint gets consolidated and it relinquishes some of its land for development.

Obviously that's years away, but good to know there's a long term plan for the area.

Also -- the Blue Line bridge will cut right across this view, correct?

Great shot!

I think we'll really appreciate how this tower interacts with 6xGuadalupe in the skyline. From the wider angles of 6xG, Indeed will balance things out nicely, particularly from the east and west.
